Should you buy it?
The question lies there because of the pricing. The Audi Q2 being a CBU attracts a lot of taxes including import duties which in turn increases the on-road price. So, the base Standard variant comes on-road at something around 40Lakhs!
In some cities like Bangalore where the road tax stands at peak (something around 20%) the top-end, ‘Technology’ trim reaches a whopping 60Lakhs, which in our humble opinion is too much.
So, the Audi Q2 could be your choice if you need a luxury crossover with all-wheel-drive and if not, we would advise staying away from the Q2 till Audi India decides to locally produce the Q2 which hopefully will bring the prices down. Know about it here.
The Audi Q2 has a striking similarity with the i20 and recently we spied the new i20 at dealerships, read about it here.
